Christmas is nearly here and if you are like me you start to think about what color theme you will be going for this year. I do try and mix things up as I do get a little bored with the same old same old.
I am not 100% what colors I am going to go with this year but I do like a few different color theme and red and white is one of them. I like the freshness of it and if I am going to go with my red and white table setting ideas then these Red and White Christmas Crackers and Decorations would be perfect. Also ornaments, garlands, wreath and lights
I love decorating the house for Christmas pulling out all my boxes of Christmas ornaments, tinsel, stars, baubles, lights, stockings and of course the Christmas Tree. I love spending the time with my family as we decorate the tree together and kids take it in turn to put the star on the top.
Here are a few tips for decorating your home and if you are sticking to a theme then red and white go very well together.
Decorate Your Staircase
Decorate your stair rail if you have one, this is a given and it sure does look amazing. If you wrap lights or garlands around the staircases you will probably be amazed at how beautiful it becomes. If you look in any home decor magazines you will notice the staircase, so do it like the professionals.
What ever you budget you can make it look amazing, you can wrap the rails in lights and ribbon or garland and ribbon, you can hang shiny baubles and Christmas decorations from it and maybe some cute little stockings. Just play around with it and you will know when it is just right.
Decorate The Mantel
If you are luck enough to have a fireplace then you sure want to add some garland to it as it is usually the centerpiece of any room and you want to show it off, wrapping garland and lights. You can also add candles and picture to the mantel to get into the Christmas Theme.
Wreath for Front Door
Front door and porch are really important as it is first impressions and so why not have a wreath hanging on the front door, you can DIY one yourself or if you are not so crafty then you can but some really gorgeous ones.
Red and White Christmas Tree
You can buy white Christmas trees now days and they look great as it gives you the fell of snow, so what better way to decorate than add red tinsel and a few different red Christmas Baubles. What do you think about these upside down Christmas Trees that are all the fashion now? I am not sure if I am a fan but they do grab my attention.
I love popping a Christmas cracker around the Christmas table on Christmas day and seeing what I get inside, usually a silly joke, a paper hat and a dice or keyring.!! But it is so much fun pulling it to see if you can out pull your Dad or Brother.
The Christmas Nutcrackers and a decorative figurines which resemble toy soldiers they were given as gifts back in the day as they were symbols of good luck and to scare away bad spirits. Obviously now there are so many different styles and designs but they are still quite traditional. You can read more about the nutcrackers dolls here
Decorations can add that extra color and flare to any Christmas Decorated room or house. Like Red and White Pillows/cushions for your couch to add a Christmas flare or a skirt for around your Christmas tree, Baubles and Tinsel can be used anywhere. Obviously it is a personal preference as to what you like here are a few lovely Red and White ideas for you.
