⭐You can start this challenge any time of the year, it does not have to be the first week in January. If you have missed the beginning of the year No Problem start NOW it still works.
Please tell me I am not the only one who gets to December and wishes I had started saving a lot earlier in the year for Christmas. 🙁 .Every year I get upset with myself as I wish I had the extra money to buy the big expensive Ham for Christmas lunch or the spare cash to go out to dinner to a fancy restaurant so I don’t have to cook AGAIN.
I wish I had the money to treat my family to anything and not have to worry about taking the cheap option incase money gets low before pay day. What about having a little holiday without having to count your pennies before you decide if it will be a cheap take away for dinner or a nice restaurant.
So enough complaining this year we have done it we have downloaded the 52 Week Saving Plan Money Challenge from this website and we have bought the money boxes, we had to get the ones that “I” could not open during the year when we are out of milk and I have to run to the corner store…. So we went for these ones see my image. My daughter chose this Moana Money box from our local dollar shop as she loves Moana..
We have printed out the printable and stuck it in the cupboard with the money box and we started on the 4th Jan as Payday for us is Wednesdays so Thursday seemed like the perfect day to start… So here goes wish us luck and I will keep you posted.
I know the first part of the year will be fine it is when we get to week 27 and beyond that I may struggle as that seems like such a lot of money to be putting in a money box but I will have to keep telling myself it will be worth it when we have $1378 by the end of the year.
I also have a reminder set up so I remember each week to do it, I use my phone’s reminders but some people might prefer a physical planner that they check daily. What ever works for you do it.
